The Extra Mile
Be RecognizedLeadership Harrisburg Area created The Extra Mile award with the intent to recognize volunteers and employees whose efforts sometimes go unnoticed. This award is for the people who don’t seek the spotlight, sometimes avoid the spotlight, but who significantly impact the success of a non-profit organization, community group, faith-based institution, or school. Their work is sometimes the compilation of dozens of small things… sometimes it’s a big gesture, but always above and beyond the boundaries of their position or volunteer role.
These are the champions of the Capital Region and their work is vital to the health of our communities. Let’s recognize and celebrate the efforts of our volunteers and employees who go The Extra Mile! Awardees will be selected based on the following criteria:
- They consistently perform at top quality for a non-profit organization in Cumberland, Dauphin, or Perry Counties, PA.
- They consistently exceed expectations.
- They embrace the opportunity to assume extra responsibility.
- They remain positive and support others.
- They demonstrate dedication and loyalty to the organization and its mission.
Nominations are accepted for VOLUNTEERS of non-profit organizations and/or EMPLOYEES at any level from front-line service providers, program support staff, administrative staff, managers, executives, board members, etc.
Please complete the corresponding form below by October 16, 2020. There is no cost to make a nomination and no limit of nominations per organization.
Award finalists will be notified via e-mail. All finalists will be invited to attend a luncheon in November at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg. The Extra Mile award will be presented to at least one individual during the event. Nominators, co-workers, and other associates must register for the luncheon independently.
